This Franklin Chair was completed on February 15  2008.


The Franklin chair is attributed to Ben Franklin.  The chair serves not only as a chair, but as a step ladder as well.  The chair fold in half at the seat, and reveals a step ladder.  This makes the chair handy in the kitchen or library, where you need a place to sit, and sometimes need to reach items up on shelves. 


This chair was made from Pine.  It is approximately 40" tall by 18" wide and 20" deep.  This particular chair has a seat height of 19", but can be made lower to match existing chairs.  The finish is simply clear shellac, which shows off the natural color of the Pine.


This chair makes an excellent addition to any kitchen, library, or anywhere else you need a chair and step ladder.
